The cottage is for a family of six on a southern slope of a high valley which overlooks the mountains of the eastern Alps. The building consists of a wooden structure made of prefabricated parts, and a cantilevered reinforced concrete foundation. All windows are full-height and have a view of the mountains. Common areas like the kitchen, living room, dining room and terrace are placed on the northern region. Three bedrooms and a bathroom are located in the southern L-shaped region. Between these two areas is an open space. The façade is clad in wood shingles and wooden shutters which shade the interior and can be used to close the building up like a box.
